We've partnered with Alex Pancoe on his journey to complete the Explorer's Grand Slam and raise 1 million dollars for Lurie Children's Hospital. Each climb on his journey is dedicated to a child currently at Lurie's. Having completed 8 of the 9 peaks, he plans on summitting Mt Everest in April 2019!

“ARTAY” – in the Bear we trust

Bears are unique, intelligent, curious animals.  They have great vision, nurturing and protect their environment, although often misunderstood Bears seek comfort love, family and enjoyment.  Our team at Yatra identifies very well with the Bear, in fact it is a pillar in our brand values.  So much so, that we sought out “Defenders of the Wildlife” www.defenders.org to see what we can do support Bear conservation here in the USA/Canada.

“Bears are slowly recovering from the brink of extinction. But they're not out of the woods, yet. Poaching, habitat destruction, and conflicts with humans still threaten these bears' path to recovery.” Team Yatra successfully adopted a Bear through “Defenders of the Wildlife” and we now call him “ARTAY”, Yatra spelled backwards.

Named "America's Best Wildlife Charity" by Reader's Digest, Defenders of Wildlife has been a leading innovator in developing the most effective ways to conserve imperiled wildlife and wild lands for over 65 years. www.defenders.org

We Love to PLAY – In selecting a local charity that advocates the long term development of kids and community, few compare to the efforts of Kerry Wood, hall of fame Baseball Player and his wife.  The Wood Family Foundation (WFF) works to improve the lives of children in and around Chicago by raising funds and awareness for its children’s programs. Despite the curveballs that may come their way, every child should be given a chance in life, regardless of resources, opportunity or geography.

That’s why the Wood Family Foundation prides itself as an advocate for Chicago area children, providing support not just on a one-time basis, but through long-term relationships with kids and their communities, ensuring the consistency and emotional structure they need to succeed.  Team Yatra played an essential role in providing free products for the WFF in 2016 and continue to proudly support their efforts. http://wffpitchin.org/
